The project
Project overview.
USS Formwork supported concrete structure delivery at 53 Regent Street, a single-building development comprising 13 levels and two basement levels. The photographed works show the project progressing from deep excavation and basement formation through slab reinforcement, deck formwork and concrete placement.
The challenge
The deep urban excavation and close neighbouring properties required formwork, access and concrete activities to be carefully sequenced within a constrained footprint.
Our approach
Deck formwork, shoring, vertical elements, reinforcement interfaces and concrete pours were coordinated in stages to maintain workable areas and support the structural sequence.
The outcome
The project reached recorded completion in September 2023 after successive basement and upper-level structural work cycles.
