Information about how USS Formwork handles website enquiries and personal information.

Last reviewed 15 August 2026

USS Formwork is the business name used by UNIQUE STRUCTURE SERVICES PTY LTD (ABN 86 654 992 542). In this notice, "USS", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company.

This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and through related business enquiries. Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies you, or could reasonably identify you. We aim to handle it responsibly and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy requirements.

You can browse the public pages of this website without giving us your name or contact details. If you choose to contact us, we need enough information to understand and respond to your enquiry.

Information we collect

When you use the project enquiry form, we collect:

  • your name, email address and project message;
  • your company and phone number, if you provide them;
  • the project type and project location, if you provide them; and
  • any other personal information you choose to include in your message.

We may also collect information contained in later emails, telephone calls or other correspondence about your enquiry or a potential or current project.

Our hosting provider automatically receives technical information when your browser requests a page or sends a form. This can include your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device information, the requested page, the date and time, referral information, and security or diagnostic logs. We use this type of information to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website, rather than to identify visitors for advertising.

Please do not include sensitive information, identification documents, payment details or confidential third-party information in the enquiry form unless we have asked for it and it is reasonably necessary for the matter.

How we collect information

We usually collect personal information directly from you when you submit the form, contact us using published business details, or communicate with us about an enquiry. We may also receive business contact information from someone acting for your organisation or from another party involved in a project. If you provide information about another person, you should have authority to do so and make them aware of this notice where appropriate.

Technical request information is collected automatically by the systems that deliver and protect the website.

Why we use personal information

We use personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to an enquiry and communicate with you;
  • understand project requirements and decide whether USS can assist;
  • prepare estimates, proposals or other requested information;
  • manage a prospective, current or completed business relationship;
  • keep appropriate business, contractual and legal records;
  • prevent spam, misuse, security incidents and technical problems; and
  • comply with legal obligations or exercise and defend legal rights.

We do not add someone to an email marketing list merely because they submit a project enquiry. If we use personal information for direct marketing in the future, we will do so in accordance with applicable law and provide a practical way to opt out.

How contact form messages are delivered

The contact form sends your submission to the USS website server. After validating the request, the server formats the information as a message and sends it through the channel designated by USS. The website application does not intentionally create a separate database copy of the submitted form.

When we disclose information

We may disclose personal information only where reasonably required for the purposes described above, including to:

  • USS directors, employees and authorised contractors who need the information to handle the enquiry or project;
  • Technical infrastructure, which hosts and delivers this website;
  • professional advisers, insurers, technology providers and other service providers supporting our business; and
  • regulators, courts, law enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is required or authorised by law, or is reasonably necessary to protect a person, USS or its legal rights.

We may also disclose information with your consent or at your direction. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and website measurement

As at the date shown above, the public website does not intentionally use advertising cookies or a third-party analytics product. The hosting platform may still process the technical request information described in this notice to deliver and protect the website.

If we introduce analytics, advertising technology or other browser storage that materially changes how visitor information is handled, we will update this notice and provide any notice or choice required by law.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures include encrypted web connections, server-side form validation, request origin checks, restricted delivery credentials and limiting access to the channel used for enquiries.

No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Please use the contact form only for information appropriate to an initial business enquiry.

We retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, any resulting business relationship, our record-keeping requirements, dispute resolution and applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the information and the matter. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, subject to lawful retention needs and ordinary backup or archival processes.

Accessing or correcting your information

You may ask us for access to personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Contact us using the method below and provide enough detail for us to identify the information concerned. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We will respond within a reasonable period. If applicable law permits or requires us to refuse a request, we will explain the reason and the available complaint options unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

Privacy questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how USS has handled personal information, contact us through the project enquiry form or using any confirmed business contact details published on that page. Please describe the issue and how you would like it resolved. We will acknowledge the matter, investigate it and respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to the matter, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
